Imagine a team that wants to adopt agile. Team members are wondering where they should start. Are there best practices to follow? It would be awesome if they could find a book or case study that tells them how to implement agile. All they would have to do is meticulously execute the instructions, and they would be done. Isn’t that great? Absolutely! But is agile adoption that easy and straightforward? Maybe not. As we will see, you need another approach: It’s called double-loop agile.

To survive in today’s world, you need to become more flexible and creative, reduce costs and lure talent. Agile can help with all of these areas, and that’s why thousands of organizations have put an astonishing amount of resources into agile transition and improvement in an effort to implement (or re-implement) it. Some of them come from waterfall backgrounds, while others have been using agile for a while but want to enhance their agility.
